"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." -- anon
Many people have told us that they would like a Freedom Toaster of their own. While we would like to supply the world with Freedom Toasters we recognize that this would not only be impossible, but would also take away the experience, fun and satisfaction people can get from building Freedom Toasters for themselves.
Welcome to the Freedom Toaster documentation project. We want to document everything there is to know about the Freedom Toaster. As we document, we make the information available under the free and open Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license. By doing so we hope to empower anyone wanting to build a Freedom Toaster with the knowledge they need to design, manufacture, assemble, maintain and customize a Freedom Toaster of their own.
Empowering people with the knowledge they need to make Freedom Toasters of their own is not our only objective. Our vision of the project is that people will also use our documents as a platform for improving the current Shuttleworth specification or sounding board for developing derivative Freedom Toaster designs and models.

Meeting point for document development...
I added a lot of infrastructure to the FT Wiki page at
http://ftwiki.rivera.za.net .
There's now an outline for documentation development (translations, suggestions, unfinished portions, etc.) there, if anyone's interested in using it.

I would like to translate the documents to spanish for presenting them to my lug as a project for my university.
I would like to know if the sources(if LaTeX better) and high resolution diagrams for construction are available.
I would be glad to translate and post them back.
Thanks.
